A friend of mine was planning her mom's surprise 60th birthday party. She asked me to help with the cake and goodies- of course I said YES!!! The inspiration for the cake was Gerber Daisy's and Shoes (apparently mom is quite the shoe fanatic)!

This cake was done for a Hawaiian themed graduation party. While assembling it, I wasn't sure it was going to have the "pizazz" I hope for when doing a cake. As soon as I added the flowers on top and the lei- I loved it. This was yet another fun cake to do.
OMG it's been busy I am way behind. Between summer activities and cakes (and the 4-5 days I work at my "real job") It's just been crazy. I've had a lot of fun doing a few cakes over the last month. Lots of creativity, I LOVE it! . ![]() First I had a Happy "70 Years Young" birthday party. Detail and colors to match the invitation. The stripe on the bottom is satin ribbon. Then I had a Graduation cake and cupcakes "Farewell Amador, Hello Davis" Tuesday I delivered a cake for a sweet 16 SURPRISE birthday. This was a fun cake to make. Hot pink, black and white- my style. I loved it (not that I don't love all my cakes!! :) The birthday girl is a dancer and mentioned how cool it would be to have a silhouette of a dancer on top. The dancer is actually HER. Her mom sent me a pic that I downloaded and traced. Pretty cool!! On the sides of the cake are big hearts with the types of dance she does- hip hop, modern, ballet and jazz. I have a graduation cake to do for this weekend that is Hawaiian Theme- should be another fun one.
Today was the Livermore Mom's Appreciation Luncheon. I donated a cake pop bouquet and a "coupon" for a dozen cake pops or cupcakes. These cake pops are Lemon Cream Pie- probably my favorite (next to mint oreo and chocolate peanut butter) and I've tried them all!!
![]() Sofia's 2nd birthday was at the park the day before Easter so it was a bunny theme. I had fun being creative and making the "bunny butts". They looked SO cute and tasted delish. The bunny cakes were chocolate cake with a mint Oreo at the bottom, crushed mint Oreo throughout complete with a buttercream frosting and a dusting of crushed oreo. The Easter Egg cupcakes were Strawberry & Cream, fresh strawberry cake with a light cream cheese vanilla buttercream frosting. I am so excited to start blogging my cake adventures. This home page will have all my cake information and pictures.
